Obama Admin Loaned $2 Billion To Brazilian Company For Offshore Oil Wells But Halted US Drilling In Gulf

intelligent-us-politics-petrobras-offshore-platformRepublican Senator David Vitter of Louisiana is questioning how the United States has benefited from a $2-billion loan the United States made to a Brazilian oil company for its offshore drilling operations.

Senator Vitter is entirely right in questioning a loan which carries with it such utter hypocrisy.

Scientific American Says Global Warming Science Is False

Startling is the best way I can find to describe the results of a just published poll conducted by Scientific American Magazine. You’d think – as I always have – that the readers and followers of Scientific American are a bunch of egg heads with a broad understanding of most things scientific. Additionally, since the magazine has for years been called a schill for Al Gore and the rest of the global warming alarmist crowd, that the readers would have a stranglehold on understanding just how bad the global warming crisis really is. Hypocrisy Transparent As Obama Prepares To Meet With Chamber of Commerce

Although the sea of socialist rhetoric and hypocrisy through which Barack Obama makes us wade is routinely deep, I found a news blurb this morning that I found particularly  hypocritical.  Barack Obama is meeting   with the US Chamber of Commerce to see what he can do to help create jobs. Obama also wants to assure the business community he supports them.  Read the rest of this entry »

A Christmas Wish and Special Christmas Picture For All Americans

A Special Christmas Picture

I came across this picture, of George Washington crossing the Delaware, quite by accident the other day.  I didn’t do anything with it; after all, what do you do with a picture like this? Then it came to me very early this morning.  This is a Christmas picture; an intensely important Christmas picture, if you’re an American.  At least it should be.

This very special Christmas Picture is very different from most Christmas pictures you see, as there are no Christian icons, no Santa Claus, no elves and no Christmas trees.  It is, however, Christmas.  Although most Americans have a vague awareness of George Washington crossing the Delaware, their consciousness is that of a story from folklore, rather than something that really happened.  But it did really happen.

Not only did it really happen, it happened on a bitterly cold, ice covered Christmas morning more than 200 years ago.  George Washington, along with hundreds of volunteers, crossed the Delaware River, many in tattered clothes, during the American Revolution to insure the establishment of these United States.  The move was heralded for centuries as a watershed moment in our Revolution.

So I have published this picture, a Christmas picture, for all Americans.  So we all remember.  I ask all Americans to remember that the men in this picture, Washington included, were willing to sacrifice everything for the good of the country they were fighting to establish.  I also ask you to compare the men in this photo, our forefathers, to those who purport to lead our country now.

Compare to Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, who just two weeks ago headed to Copenhagen with two – one was apparently not adequate – private jets for an historic convention on global warming.  Comrade Pelosi apologized for America and tried to give away hundreds of billions of American taxpayer dollars to the rest of the world because of the mess we’ve made.  And I thought the $30,000 taxpayer dollars she spent this year outfitting her office with fresh flowers was bad.

Compare to Harry Reid, who has played Lets Make A Deal for the last several weeks in an effort to pass socialized medicine in the Senate.  At least Harry knew what it took to motivate his fellow democratic Senators: bribes, pay-outs and the most massive earmarks in history.

Compare to Senator Ben Nelson, who would never vote for the healthcare bill because of publicly funded abortions; unless you pay him $100 million.  Compare to Senator Mary Landrieu, who was completely on-board with the healthcare bill, especially since she procured $30 billion in special entitlements for Louisiana.  And, let’s not forget Joe Lieberman, that bastion of integrity from Connecticut who wouldn’t vote for the bill, until he was paid off.

Compare all of our leaders from 2009 to those men who were willing to sacrifice everything on December 25, 1776.  In 2009, the most outrageous leader of them all, the man who promised transparency in government and legislation free from lobbyists and earmarks, is vacationing for ten days in Hawaii.  That’s a great deal different from George Washington’s Christmas.

Oh, and please don’t forget that the events depicted in this famous Christmas painting, took place shortly after a Tea Party.

The Inconvenient Lie: The Truth About Global Warming, The Most Enormous Fraud Ever Perpetrated on Mankind

The Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen is more than just a gathering of the climate change faithful: It’s a collection of weirdos, freaks, losers and leftist anti-American whack jobs. But it has made me reflect one key development of 2009: The long overdue exposure of Al Gore and the global warming crowd as liars and charlatans.  Let’s pay tribute to the Godfather of the global warming movement, Al Gore, and the lies and hypocrisy which permeate the climate change crowd.

Al Gore, won a Nobel Prize and Academy Award warning us about the cataclysm we are causing with our carbon footprints.  Costal areas will be wiped out by floods, species will be annihilated, polar ice caps will soon melt, and lions and tigers and bears, oh my.  Gore is a fat, bloated liar and charlatan.  In fact, he is the greatest con man in the history of the world.

Gore continually and absolutely refuses public interviews and refuses to participate in factual about climate change.  I invite one and all, especially all of the liberals out there, to tell us why Gore refuses discussion.  Please enlighten us; please, let just one liberal respond.

Never mind, liberals will never give Uncle Al up by answering or even addressing the question.  Here, I’ll tell you:  Gore refuses public interviews or discussion of any kind about global warming because his arguments, along with all of the global warming science (which he likes to declare closed) are bunk. Unsupportable. False. Disingenuous. Frankly, they are bullshit.

The godfather of global warming can’t defend his claims because they are, as I said,  false.  Furthermore, he knows they are false.  My 14 year old son could kick Al’s ass in a debate.  Gore is a liar, which leads me to point two: Gore is perpetuating the greatest lie ever told in order to amass incredible wealth.  He is adored by liberals everywhere, has no responsibilities, isn’t bound by the truth and is well on his way to becoming a billionaire.

Gore travels the world in a private jet, racking up enormous energy consumption for his Nashville mansion, condemning us for causing global warming and destroying the earth.  He chastises us for our way of life and demands we reduce our carbon footprint.  All the while, he has amassed a fortune and been the beneficiary of his own shy-is-falling tactics.  It is the greatest, self-benefiting fraud ever perpetrated on mankind.

Gore will always refuse public interviews because he would be proven a liar.  A 30 minute discussion with Gore would expose the entire liberal movement as a scam.  He maintains the “do as I say, not as I do” mantra which has become the unwritten golden rule of liberal leaders who make fortunes waging war against the very economic system that has allowed them to succeed beyond most people’s wildest dreams.

I don’t begrudge anyone a profit, and embrace the immortal words of Gordon Gecko who said that anything worth doing, is worth doing for money. Unless you’re a bloated, fat, lying-ass dog, like Gore.  I daydream about someday having the opportunity to debate Al Gore or his famous leftist brethren.

Don’t worry, folks.  The world isn’t heating up, the oceans aren’t rising up and the polar bears are just fine, because global warming is bunk.  Rather than bluster further, I offer the following charts (which, by the way, took me about 90 seconds to find) which prove the earth is just simply not heating up.
