Republican Senator David Vitter of Louisiana is questioning how the United States has benefited from a $2-billion loan the United States made to a Brazilian oil company for its offshore drilling operations.
Senator Vitter is entirely right in questioning a loan which carries with it such utter hypocrisy.

Home Prices Continue Down Nine Cities Hit New Lows

The 10-City Composite was down 0.4% and the 20-City Composite fell 1.6% from November 2009 levels.

Because the last thing they want are parallels being drawn between Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter, liberals will disagree, but the similarities are so striking they’ll have to split hairs to do it. Older American voters are the voting block most likely to vote in any election. This year, however, they are going to do so in record numbers. Seniors are supporting Republicans more than any other demographic group, in this election cycle, and they are poised to vote at historic levels.
Republicans, who are usually more likely to vote than Democrats, are far more likely to vote than are their Democratic counterparts this year, in every age group.
